We’ve recently been introduced to gorgeous child-friendly art available at Happy Thought, an online shop run by Ellen Deakin, sister of Airside director Fred. Happy Thought hopes to put a smile on your walls with their selection of decals, prints and silhouettes designed to brighten up nurseries and playrooms.
Their best-selling double silhouette of children holding hands was recently listed as one of Etsy’s picks for American Mother’s Day. Happy Thought also offers a personalised service, so you can feature your child’s name, birthday or favourite colours on any of their products. Visit Happy Thought to find out more.

The t-shirts have been refolded, the prints have been rerolled, the boxes are returned to the basement.  The cakes crumbs have been swept up and fed to the birds, the sticky splashes of spilt Air-cider have been wiped from the floor, and the fleeting wonder that was the Airside Pop-up Shop, has once more become a mere meeting room.
Thanks to everyone who came to see us on Friday and Saturday. As an online shop, we’ve become accustomed to minimal interaction with our customers, so it was really great fun to meet all you Airside Shoppers. We must do it again sometime. In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for the all-new airsideshop.com – coming soon!

We are officially very excited about tomorrow’s opening of Airside: The Pop-Up Shop. Our shop manager Natalie has worked her bump off to transform our meeting room into a brilliant bazaar packed with t-shirts, prints and other assorted goodies. Here’s a sneak peek at the fruits of her labour, as our little Pop-Up Shop bathes in the glorious evening sunshine.
Airside: The Pop-Up Shop opens tomorrow at 11am. There will be music, prize draws, cake, our infamous Air-Cider and much more going on throughout the day, until 8pm. We hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it tomorrow, we’re also open on Saturday. Don’t forget everything must go, so expect bargains and giveaways galore. Full details here.

Airside’s Alex and Anne spent the week in Denmark, where they gave a talk at LYNfabrikken creative studios in Aarhus on Wednesday. They also visited some other agencies and studios around the country. We’ll have more details for you when we get their full debrief.
In the meantime, Alex got his architectural nerd-on at the Danish Architecture Centre in Copenhagen. Whilst browsing in the bookstore, he found a lovely pile of our book, Airside by Airside (still available to buy from Amazon), and sent us this photo. Yes, seeing our book in shops still excites us.

Our new Airplot t-shirt was recently spotted at its spiritual home. The photos below show both t-shirts, as modelled by Greenpeace’s finest, at the Airplot site itself. Airplot is a small piece of land that sits in the middle of the proposed site for Heathrow Airport’s third runway.
You can back the campaign to stop airport expansion by signing up to be a beneficial owner of the land. And now you can show your support with the official Airplot Campaign t-shirt, exclusively available from Airside Shop. For every t-shirts sold, £2 of the price will go to Greenpeace.

Deep down in the dark and dank crevices of an Islington basement, your future is waiting. Yes folks, another New Year approaches and that means another Airside Calendar is ready to encapsulate your time in a Gregorian arrangement of days and dates.
But what illustrations will be assaulting your eyeballs in biweekly bursts this year? Will there be more explicit images to hide to from the kids? Which captions will make you chuckle and groan? What does the cover look like?

2010 Airside Calendar - all boxed up and ready to go

I’m afraid you will have to wait a little bit longer for the answers. But don’t fret, the 2010 Airside Calendar will be soon available to buy from www.airsideshop.com.
In the meantime all we can show you are the boxes, in which each calendar lies safely tucked up awaiting its grand unveiling. Exciting, huh?

It’s been a while since we’ve had news from Stitch parents, but thanks to the Hill family, we do now.

Nice to see their woolly lot partaking in the festive activities, even if Sherry is not a Stitch’s best friend…

Visit the Stitch blog for a full posting. Visit Airside Shop to adopt a Stitch.

On Friday we stumbled in from the pub just in time to catch the latest episode of the third series of Channel 4 sitcom The I.T. Crowd.

And in the middle of an excellent episode where Roy and Moss attempt to ingratiate themselves with some football fans and end up taking part in an armed robbery, we spotted our Battle Royale Girl t-shirt being worn by actor Chris O’Dowd.

We were well chuffed to see our classic design on screen, especially when we discovered that the t-shirt features on their PR campaign as well.

Roy’s choice of t-shirts has become a feature of the show since it began. There’s even a blog dedicated to sourcing all the tees he wears on the show.

Calendar 2009

It’s nearly time for us to unleash the 2009 Airside Calendar on an unsuspecting world. Today we took a trip down to our new printers Calverts to see the first batch roll off the presses.

Above is the magic of the CMYK process in action on the front and back covers. Exciting, isn’t it?

Thanks to Calverts, this year’s calendar is our greenest yet: it is on FSC-approved recycled paper made from 100% post-consumer waste using bio-vegetable-oil-based inks.

It should be ready in a couple of weeks but you can pre-order your copy now.

This movie requires Flash Player 8

Education. Education. Education. We are all about education, especially when it’s comes in the form of our sexy Alphabunnies, who have alphabetically arranged themselves in all states of undress on our brand new A-Z screen print, available now from Airside Shop.

The animation above is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the girls getting into position.

Say my name girls.
