Forget the film, watch the titles
July 17, 2008

A virtual home for all things broadcastable and moving image, the Submarine Channel are featuring Airside's film title sequence for The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency in their 'Forget the Film, Watch the Titles' section. We're in good company with the title sequence for the Italian release of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly in the same series.

Airside down with Kidz
July 14, 2008

We may be getting on a bit (see news, April 22nd) and enjoy wearing a comfortable shoe, but we can still give the kids what they want, even if they didn't know they wanted it.

Airside and mae Architect's Pop Art Gallery project gets a mention in the Tate Modern blog in Fiona Sibley's article, Hanging With Teens. In the piece, Fiona wonders what would the perfect gallery space be for teenagers if they were to design it themselves.

All we know is that visitors to the Pop Art Gallery in Wolverhampton are still enjoying Warholising themselves - see the photos on Flickr.

pingmag visits London
July 10, 2008

pingmag, the Tokyo-based magazine about design and making things (I quote) visited us in our new home recently.

They came and poked about our bins and tea drawer, and spoke to Henki about various things. And the sun shone for them, not an everyday occurence in these strange climes.

T-shirt design for JR East, Japan
July 02, 2008

During their hot and humid summer days, the residents of Tokyo indulge in more than a little vending machine refreshment activity. And to celebrate all things thirst-quenching, Airside were asked to design a t-shirt to be given away as a prize to customers buying drinks during the steamy months of July and August.

You buy a drink and get a QR code. You then access the code with your mobile and get the chance to win win win. What could be simpler – you get watered and you might get a new shirt for your back.

Client: JR EAST Water Business (Japan Railway East)

Media: 5,000 vending machines in JR stations
