Hidden Depths

Airside, in conjunction with It's Pop It's Art, EMI Music and San Miguel, is curating the next Hidden Depths event, the fifth in the series.

This will be a design and music jam featuring workshops and live sets from:

Sam Sparro
Fred Deakin v Tom Middleton aka Cosmic Fury
Paul Epworth
Jon Burgerman
Kate Moross

When and where
Thursday, 18th September from 7pm until 1am at the Amersham Arms in New Cross, London SE14 6TY.

Three Trees at London Design Festival

The London Design Festival 2008 has announced a major sustainability emphasis with the launch of greengaged at the Design Council - a hub of events, debates, workshops, exhibitions, seminars and masterclasses which will bring together all sectors of the design industry to focus on sustainability issues, exchange ideas and carve out new roles for design.

There are various speakers and workshops during Design Week, which runs from 15-23 September, but the two Three Trees workshops are on the following dates:

Tuesday 16th Sept 2-3.30pm
Greening your studio

Friday 19th Sept 2-5pm
Print processes and sustainable paper.

Airside on advisory panel for Animate Projects

Airside's Alex Maclean is spending today on the advisory panel for Animate Projects – an organisation that commissions artists to make new work that explores the cross-over between art and animation.

Alex himself has been leading moving image projects at Airside for the last five years, including our forthcoming feature length animation film (more details soon) and a BBC commissioned children's series, Fur Wars (also more details soon).

I am super happy

In celebration of the anniversary of Mr Friendly bringing happiness to the world, Airside were asked to design a limited edition bag for Super Planning in Tokyo.

Sadly you won't be so happy to hear that the bags are currently only available in Japan, but enjoy them from a distance and let the happiness wash over you via your monitor.
