And the BAFTA goes to...
January 30, 2009

News just received: our film titles for The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency have been shortlisted for a BAFTA.

We are truly delighted and Malika is already planning her outfit for the dinner in May. The titles are nominated in the Television Craft category.

By the way, it's not our first BAFTA nomination – in 2001 we were shortlisted in the Interactive category for our JAM:Tokyo-London website.

Still.... woohoo!

Sophie Thomas is Hot
January 29, 2009

Thomas Matthews co-founder, Sophie Thomas, is listed in Design Week's Hot 50 (people making a difference in design).

Sophie was instrumental in the Greengaged event during the London Design Festival last year, and she's also co-founder of Three Trees alongside our own Nat Hunter and Caroline Clark (Lovely As A Tree).

Not only that, but Sophie has been recruited for the Design Council's new board – read more.

Sustainable design is still firmly on the agenda for 2009, with these ladies at the helm – sign up to the Three Tress newsletter to find out what's coming up for them this year.

Greenpeace launch Airplot
January 22, 2009

Greenpeace have unveiled their latest campaign, Airplot, with the identity created by Airside.

The aim of the campaign is to block the path for the proposed third runway at London's Heathrow airport, by buying plots of the land in question.

The identity is part of a larger project involving Airside, which will roll out as Airplot takes momentum.

January 16, 2009

Always nice when stuff we make finds its way into the hearts of others. We were told about this blog, grain edit, and were delighted to see it featuring Airside's 2009 calendar.

(Shown here: image created for Bassetts, which features on the calendar amongst other previously unseen work.)

A woolly update from Stitches
January 09, 2009

The Hill family of Berkshire kindly shared with us photos from their family Christmas. And their family happens to include several Stitches.

We're delighted to see they're thriving with the Hills; our cockles are duly warmed. Less of a case of the hills having eyes, more that the Hills have wool.

Visit the Stitch blog.
Visit Airside Shop to see who's looking for a new family.
