Airplot wins HOW Logo Design Award
June 15, 2010Airplot follows on from last month’s Honorable Mention in I.D. Magazine’s 2010 Annual Design Review, by taking top prize at the 2010 HOW Logo Design Awards.
Actually, given that there were nine other winners selected along with Airplot, this is essentially another Honorable Mention dressed up like a champion, but we’re not complaining.
The HOW judges described Airside's Airplot logo as “a unique and intriguing, modular logo that allows for multiple uses and adaptations as needed”.
Thanks a lot HOW folks. We are proud to be winners of your inaugural Logo Design Awards.
We’re looking forward to telling Greenpeace about our success. When we told them about the I.D. Mag mention, they replied with the news that they had actually won the Airplot campaign.
Hopefully, this time they will have put a halt to climate change altogether. Which will help the whole planet with the business of Staying Alive.

D&AD Award for Christian Borstlap
June 08, 2010Airside has long been a fan of Christian's work and we were delighted to see him and director Paul Postma pick up the D&AD Moving Image award for their short film There Are 11 Trillion Things to Learn.
The film was created for Dutch children’s charity Stichting Kinderpostzegels and showcases the gorgeous postage stamps designed by Christian. The collection offered advice to young children about learning and inspiration.
Christian’s illustrations were then brought to animated life by Postma’s two minute film, which wowed the D&AD committee. Well done, guys.
