Airside In IdN Eco-Graphics Special

July 20, 2010

The latest issue of IdN Magazine is an eco-graphics special that comes with an 80-minute DVD featuring Airside’s animated short: A Beginner’s Guide to Giving a Damn About…Climate Change.

Inside the magazine's pages bound by a brilliant FUCKING RECYCLE cover, you will find a short interview with Airside where we share our thoughts on design and the environment.

This special edition of the International Design Network’s bi-monthly magazine also includes our former bookkeeper Aimée Furnival’s rather excellent Postcarden project.

IdN Magazine is on sale at all good design shops or online.

New-look BBC Asian Network website

July 15, 2010

BBC Asian Network has just launched its new-look website, as designed by Airside.

The online home of the BBC radio station needed a visual system that could express the personality and values of each of the station’s 36 shows and presenters.

Looking to avoid clichéd representations of Asia, Airside created a modern take on British-Asia culture with a series of exciting and contemporary designs.

Playing on the station’s existing brand, we developed a series of illustrations to represent each individual show, from swirls that morph into Bollywood sparkles and luscious scripts to edgier abstract patterns.

The result is a diverse yet coherent set of images that reflect the variety and richness of British-Asian culture.

Airside's Locking Gorillas On CBBC My Toons

July 12, 2010

Airside has created a short cartoon called Locking Gorillas that is now showing at CBBC My Toons.

Each week My Toons features five new animated shorts for kids and the highest rated will be shown on CBBC TV.

Check out Airside’s entry and if you like it why not rate it?

Actually, get your kids to do – seems a better idea than having adults deciding what kids should like.
