Chazzstock: a special music event
September 24, 2010Chazzstock is the launch party for Oú Est Le Swimming Pool’s forthcoming album, The Golden Year, but also a celebration of the life of the band’s singer Charlie Haddon, who committed suicide on August 20th 2010.
All proceeds from the night will go to a new foundation in Charlie’s name that aims to help young men with depression and mental health issues.
Chazzstock will feature special performances from Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Mr Hudson, The Horrors and many more, who will be covering tracks from The Golden Year.
10 Airside animations will feature on the big screens at Koko, as part of the night's visual entertainment. We don’t know yet which performer our work has been paired with, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for Tony Hadley.
Apparently he will perform Gold, as well Oú Est track You Started. Jamie is slicking back his hair with excitement as we speak.
Chazzstock takes place on Monday October 04th 2010 at Koko, London. Tickets are £10 in advance and are available from www.gigantic.com or www.crowdsurge.com.

We‘re looking for an Interaction Design Intern
September 22, 2010If you have a Design / Interaction Design degree, or equivalent experience, get in touch because our interaction team currently has to get their own coffee (Java, naturally!).
We jest of course, for in fact this is a very involved position and the successful candidate will be working on a number of exciting projects.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of web technologies and how to employ them. You should be competent in HTML, CSS and Javascript, (PHP/MySQL knowledge is desirable), with a solid working knowledge of Illustrator / Photoshop.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get hands-on experience in a dynamic and award winning studio.
Salary dependent on skills and experience.
Please send your portfolio of work and your CV to digitalinterns@airside.co.uk.
No recruitment agencies please.

Stanley the Key Fob
September 20, 2010Meet Stanley the key fob, the movie-loving bunny Airside designed for the opening bumper sequence for the Japanese TV channel’s Friday Roadshow movie night.
This is a pre-production model, but there will be a limited number of these key fobs on sale in Japan very soon.
Check out some more Stanley photos at Henki’s Flickr page.

Want to be Creative Director at Airside?
September 09, 2010We want someone to immerse themselves in pretty much every area of our company's activities. You will need to take Airside and its unique working culture forward into the next phase of its evolution and make the company your own.
Positivity and a "can do" attitude are essential. It is a massive challenge, but for (exactly!) the right person it is a once-in-a-lifetime career making opportunity.
The successful applicant will have experience of directing international clients, and building relationships. You will also have a strong design sensibility and be an expert in digital media. You must be a strategic thinker, able to direct and inspire pitches and tenders, as well as write proposals.
In short, you must have the ability to win the hearts of new and current clients. Oh, and an interest in ethical and environmental issues is a must.
If this sounds like you, send your CV and a covering letter of anything between 100 and 500 words telling us why you're the One to anne@airside.co.uk.
In order to save everyone's time, don't apply if: you've never heard of us; you have less than seven year's professional experience in our world; your first question is "what's the salary?"
No recruitment agencies please.
