We have worked with Greenpeace on several projects, however the brief for this particular project was tricky: how to make dry information about decentralised energy entertaining and palatable, and simple enough for anyone watching the documentary to understand its basic principles.

Once we had digested a rather large and involved document explaining the theory of decentralised energy, we distilled it down to its most important points and created graphics to visually demonstrate these.
We chose to use school physics book style graphics, simple line drawings with bold text. Because the content itself was complicated we decided that using simple illustration would not therefore detract from the message Greenpeace required delivering.

The film has been used by government and educational bodies as a tool to teach people about energy conservation. And we have since created more information graphics for a second film on the same subject matter, A Convenient Solution.
