Airside was commissioned to make two short films for
Live Earth, Al Gore's climate change awareness event, which took place worldwide in July 2007.
All of the commissioned film-makers were given the brief that the films should address climate change in some way, and were provided with a list of specific points that should be demonstrated.

Our two films took different approaches to the brief: A Beginner's Guide To Giving A Damn is a tongue-in-cheek public information-style film; whilst Penguin in a Pickle is a more melancholy look at what global warming could do to one particular little penguin residing at the South Pole.

Both films were broadcast worldwide during Live Earth (July 7th, 2007) and have since been shown at various film festivals, including Edinburgh and Los Angeles, as well as on TV networks globally.
