The Brief
Faced with their largest billboard campaign to date, McCann Erickson commissioned Airside to illustrate a series of truly global posters. To communicate MasterCard's worldwide acceptance, they needed an illustrated campaign to transcend all languages.Our Solution
The campaign, with sites in airports all over the world, highlights special moments that customers can experience when traveling; these include locally relevant themes such as Portobello Road in London or Ocean Drive in Miami, as well as more general illustrations that focus on restaurants and shopping. The campaign communicates a broad message of acceptance, assuring customers that regardless of where they find themselves, MasterCard is accepted for everything they might need.The illustrations used a restricted palette of the reds and yellows featured in the MasterCard identity to not only increase brand recognition, but to cut a distinctive look in the already visually cluttered environment of an airport.
