McCann Erickson commissioned Airside to illustrate their largest, global poster campaign to date. They wanted to create a campaign to transcend all languages, clearly communicating MasterCard's worldwide acceptance message.
The campaign, with sites in airports all over the world, highlights special moments that consumers can experience when traveling; these include locally relevant themes such as Portobello Road in London or Ocean Drive in Miami, as well as more general ads that focus on restaurants and shopping. The ads work together to communicate a broad acceptance message to consumers, assuring that no matter where they find themselves, MasterCard is accepted for everything they might need.
The reds and yellows of the MasterCard brand used in the illustrations help brand recognition and create a powerful distinctive look in the already cluttered visual environment of the airport.
We are now in our third year of working on this campaign, producing new illustrations as well reformatting existing ones.
Illustrations in various formats (moving walkways, billboards, columns etc) for airports including New York, Singapore, Toronto, Tokyo, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Rome, Puerto Rico, Paris, Orlando, Miami, Madrid, Jamaica, Frankfurt, Dubai, Dehli, Columbia, Brussels, Berlin and Munich.
