Virgin Trains





The Brief
Virgin Trains wanted a series of T.V. commercials to explain the environmental benefits of travelling on a Virgin train, notably that their trains were able to transfer energy back into the National Grid.Given the starting point of a train track, Airside were approached to create a world through which their energy-saving message could delivered with impact.
Our Solution
The animations were designed with a limited colour palette to seamlessly fit the existing Virgin Trains identity, and we worked hard to design recognisable characters that could be used on other advertising media further into the campaign.The typography was considered to deliver the core message clearly, yet with great energy as the viewer speeds through Virgin's landscape.
